Reception Space for Up to 150 People

We can host events of up to 150 people. The barn also has a private apartment upstairs for the wedding couple.

Rugged Horizon is located in St. Ignatius, Montana, at the base of the Mission Mountains. Here, you will feel far away from it all — yet you are conveniently close to western Montana’s major attractions:

Rugged Horizon is a 35 minute drive from the Missoula airport and multiple hotel options.
Rugged Horizon is 35 minutes south of Polson and Flathead Lake. Visit the lake to boat, swim, fish, or taste Flathead cherries.
Rugged Horizon is a short day trip from Glacier National Park. Use our venue as a jumping-off point to see glaciers, dip your toes in McDonald Lake, or marvel at the vistas from the Going-to-the-Sun Road.

About Us

We are a family-run business, and we built the Rugged Horizon barn ourselves (with very generous help from our family, friends, and neighbors). Everyone came together to celebrate our own wedding on this beautiful property. We cherish these memories and want this to be a place where you can spend quality time with the important people in your life.

When you are here, you will shake hands with the two people who designed, built, and care for this place. On any given day, you can find us out farming in the fields around the venue, tending the gardens, or adding a special touch to make you feel welcome.
